Ive simply hit my 10 year anniversary with capital 1 on may 23rd 2016. Wow time go by then fast. I clearly think my credit score 10 years agone at 520. They gave me a 200.00 unsecured majuscule one classic. I yet have the card...lol. What i just want to share with the globe this night is Majuscule one is not a perfect banking company, all banks have at that place flaws, high apr, unnecessary charges and high annual fee. Upper-case letter one is the reason i can get a automobile off the showroom floor with 0 down. I take half-dozen accounts with capital ane. I live in california and they simply have a cafe in santa monica ca. I will say that Majuscule ONE GIVES Second CHANCES AND Mail BK APPLUCANTS. Thats merely awesome, We honestly need to stop and say wait a infinitesimal..no annual fee, its unsecured, and im on the 5 footstep credit programme. Today my credit line is 50k with a score of 805. And it all started with a bank that said yes to me when everyone said no. IM IN FOREVER DEBT TO You CAPITAL 1. Give thanks U.

Great until fraud occurs

I've had this carte du jour for several years. Always paid on time, happy with everything until it got compromised due to a fraudulent effort this weekend. Thankfully with the Uppercase One Wallet app, I caught it right abroad and locked my card. I called in to become it airtight and replaced. When the new carte arrived, a sticker on the front read that it was already activated- that was new/dissimilar than ususal, but I shrugged it off and put it in my wallet. Unfortunately, when I went to use it the next day, information technology was declining. I logged in online and it said my new credit carte du jour account was locked and I needed to call the fraud team. Very strange, since I thought the fraud was handled and this was a new carte du jour. I called in, and they told me my credit card address was flagged every bit "bad" and I needed to provide my driver'southward license scanned back-to-front, proof of residence, and my social security card scanned to get the hold removed. Wait, what? Why should I accept to practise whatsoever such thing after beingness a recent victim of fraud? What fabricated even less sense was that the accost the fraud squad flagged as "bad" is the aforementioned one I practice all my Upper-case letter One cyberbanking at, where my credit card has been registered for months, and where they shipped the new card. And if they genuinely felt my address was even potentially "bad" or "fraudulent" (both suggestions are logically absurd), why would you carp to ship the new bill of fare hither?! That above all else shows clearly, the issue is rigid customer service, not my actual consumer safety from fraud. To me, it sounds similar a calculator algorithm flagged something erroneously, and a human needs to take the actress step to apply the logic at paw to remove that flag for a loyal, paying client. No such thing at Capital I "fraud protection" services! When I tried to explain all this to the rep, I was pretty much ignored. I needed to requite them all the same data, and that was the only solution to a trouble I didn't create. No option to escalate to a manger who could aid out, no application of basic logic (why of a sudden flag this accost out of the blue? Why not just call the banking side of operations and cross reference that my address is the same across accounts and settle it that way?). I was so fed up being ignored by the rep, I thanked them and ended the telephone call, and tried calling in over again to hope that a human would answer this time. Aforementioned roadblock reasoning! The computer is the be all end all. They have no interest in doing their job (client service), just ticking off whether they got all the information required to clear the flag. And so I'1000 done with it- the new card can stay on hold, and I'm moving on from QuickSilver. Capital 1 has enough of my information, and if this is how they care for a loyal, paying customer when fraud occurs, and so I'll have my credit carte du jour business somewhere that can handle it right. Don't make a customer twice the victim in the proper noun of "security" (again, so secure you lot shipped the card here). Employ your heads, and railroad train a team equipped to provide actual customer service, insted of blindly following an auto prompt. If you tin can't, at least develop a protocol or route for things to get escalated to a manager than tin can help.

One year anniversary

I'm at the one year mark with QS. I started with the secured card and regretfully I closed it when I got the QS. I take learned a lot nearly credit since then being with C1. I didn't really have terrible credit but it improved 70 points since having C1 cards. I never needed to infringe money hence I didn't recollect I needed credit. My auto insurance bill has improved immensely now that I have good credit and take faithfully paid my bill 100% each month. My credit limit was raised final spring and it's really easy for me to use minimal credit or pay equally I go. I hope to be with QS and C1 for a long time.

I've had this card now for 4 1/2 years. I take received ii credit increases. When I brand a payment through the app it instantly updates my available credit. I brand my payments on time every calendar month. I was approved on Credit Karma with fair odds when I practical. I started out with the secured Platinum Card and moved to this i and oasis't had a complaint.
A very good credit carte with Rewards

The absolute only reason why I give this a 4-star is because there is a $39 annual fee simply other than that I think it'southward a really skilful card considering there's rewards with information technology and also later 6 months you tin possibly get a credit line increase when you brand on-time payments

Hither's the matter here people, equally i volition endeavour to write you an every bit honest review every bit possible. I but applied for, and was approved for this carte du jour. The credit limit is low ($300) and the interest rate is high (26%). Only the thing is I was approved for an unsecured card needing no down payment. My score IS low (FICO 603) but that's the point. Every bit I am trying to repair my history in the position I am in I cannot be choosy, or complain that the rate is too high or the limit is likewise low. Thats for people who actually don't understand where they are at and probably would misuse information technology anyway. Then I am happy to have a card where I tin can prove my worthiness and if I practise that, all those things will come. I will use this carte one time a month and continue information technology in my lock box so I don't mess effectually with information technology.

I applied for a new credit carte du jour " Capital I Quick Silver" with expert credit history, expert on-time payments and I'm a erstwhile customer as well. But I got worst credit limit and I spoke with the client service agents almost this situation and explined about the things simply they didn't gave correct answers and they are rude about to give right explanations. I finally decided not to stay/ keep with this credit menu company Capital letter One and the customer agents said if you don't like it, you may close your accounts. And more than over, I don't want to give non even 1 star hither because their is no first not less than 1
The worst Credit Card EVER!!!

The worst credit card I have ever endemic. They charge almanac fee of $39.99 plus interest within the Commencement Year. I applied because they said no annual fee within the first year and THEY However CHARGED Annual FEE PLUS INTEREST. I even paid my balance in FUL and was still charged involvement. NEVER GETTING A Capital letter 1 Menu Ever AGAIN

I have had this bill of fare for many years. Just recently I went to make a purchase and I get an electronic mail and text alert asking if I was enlightened of the purchase. I selected aye in the e-mail and via text. Then both systems states to call Capital One for possible fraudulent activity. I go through their process and was assured everything was okay, but I would accept to wait until tomorrow until the money was available once again. That isn't a very big deal. I go through the process again, and the verbal same thing. I call them, perform the verification, this time they desire me to send a copy of my driver'south license (which I did), then was informed it would take vii-10 days until information technology could be processed and the card would be locked until information technology was reviewed. Actually? I was at a tipping point, just wanted to cancel both my Capital I Cards, but I couldn't practise that since they were locked. Needless to say, I volition never use this company once more.
