A solid sequel to a surprise hit
This sequel takes place a year after the decease of Donna. Her daughter Sophie plans to reopen her mother'south hotel, on a Greek island, unfortunately information technology looks every bit if neither her three fathers nor her hubby will be able to nourish the opening political party. Intertwined with scenes of her preparing for the reopening we meet how her female parent came to the isle all those years ago... and how she encountered the iii men who are Sophie's fathers. Of course at every possible opportunity the bandage sing an appropriate ABBA song.
If y'all didn't enjoy 'Mamma Mia' y'all certainly won't enjoy this as it is more of the same; this of form means if you did enjoy the get-go you are probable to enjoy this likewise. The story is adequately elementary merely it is fun; specially the flashback scenes of Donna making her way to the isle and meeting the younger versions of the 'three fathers' for the first time. The songs are fun fifty-fifty if things are stretched a scrap to justify the inclusion of some well-known songs... particularly 'Fernando'. Of course the songs are a lot of fun, even the less well-known ones. The bandage does a fine task and are clearly having fun; Lily James stands out equally the young Donna. The setting, with its beautiful settings and by and large fine weather, simply add to the pleasance provided by the flick. Overall I'd say this won't be for everybody merely it is good cheesy fun if you enjoy that sort of thing... and I did, more than than I expected.
